Nashville's original Garage Rockers

About

Remember when music was, like, really fun? When you weren’t too cool to just let your hair down and cut loose? When records were vinyl and one great song after another blared through the 2-inch speaker of a transistor radio? When the best music was being hammered out in garages all over the neighborhood?

The Sugar Pills remember – the words, the music, the energy, the vibe – and they deliver a powerful dose of timeless hits with all the freshness and fire of the originals, and a little extra kick.

With individual resumes that read like a who’s who of some of music’s coolest artists, The Sugar Pills is a labor of love for four like-minded musical pros. Collectively, the band members have shared stages and studios with the likes of John Prine, Mitch Ryder, Marty Stuart, Nanci Griffith, John Anderson, NRBQ,

T-Bone Burnett, Webb Wilder, and Los Straitjackets, to name a few.

But when they hit the stage and plug in as The Sugar Pills, it’s crystal clear. These guys were born to play, to sing, to perform these songs. From the Yardbirds to the Beatles, from the Animals to the Zombies, from “(I’m Not Your) Steppin’ Stone” to “96 Tears,” a Sugar Pills performance doesn’t just take you back, it takes you up and gets you high – right here, right now!

The Sugar Pills will cure your ills!

Testimonials

"I would travel all the way to Goodlettsville to see this band!"

-Nan F.

“Playful, punchy, pill-popping provocateurs pushing psychedelic perfection."

-Rick S.

"For this proto-flower-punk child, there is no better band in town for my hard earned cash than The Sugar Pills. I dare anyone steeped in ‘60s garage band rock to sit still during one of their sets. The energy and musicianship is off the hook!"

- Miriam M.
